Safety & Training

Murphy Electric strives daily to provide the safest working environment possible for all employees through our established safety and training programs. We are very proud of our outstanding safety record over the last 20 years.

Murphy Electric has a full time safety director who is dedicated to ensuring employees are familiar with all of our company’s safety policies and procedures. Weekly safety meetings are conducted with all employees at each project site to review: current OSHA requirements (including updates/changes), potentially hazardous locations on site, and to address any employee safety concerns.

At a minimum, field employees must attend the following trainings:

  • OSHA 30
  • Exothermic welding
  • Power Actuated Tool
  • Scissor lift operation and safety
  • Lockout/Tagout
  • Fall protection
  • Ladder safety
  • Energizing of Electrical Equipment
  • Electrical work on energized systems/Hot Work

Through these consistent safety standards and training regiments, the risk for any potential employee injury is greatly reduced.
